Choice

We love solving other people's problems, don't we? And yet, the more advice we give, the more resistance we tend to encounter.

"I am here to help when you are ready," is far more honoring than repeatedly thrusting change on someone who is invested in keeping things the way they are.

Give them a chance to choose.
