We should never underestimate the power of a calm and peaceful person during a crisis. Often the "action" that is most needed is a simple reassuring smile that inspires faith that we're going to get through this together.

Have you ever experienced this?

I remember feeling shocked to see my beloved aunt's lifeless body in an open casket when I was a child. My other aunt, her sister, noticed my distress, looked me in the eyes and gave me a gentle smile I will never forget.

With that one gesture, everything shifted. I felt a presence that seemed like the transmission of vast spiritual knowledge. I suddenly knew that while death may be sad, it is not something to fear. This singular moment has stayed with me for decades.

I remember nothing else about the funeral except the steady heavy rain during the burial that seemed beautifully fitting for the occasion.
