There is nothing more alive than clawing our way out of a deep hole - sober, naked and shaking, and suddenly feeling the warmth of sunlight on skin. It is time to fully embrace the miracle of standing on the earth for a precious, limited time. Life is a gift we must accept in every moment of every day in our lives.
Recovering addicts and alcoholics are heroes, especially those who return to the void and help others escape.
